What you want

by ShadowedPhoenix   May 25, 2008

What will I do now?
Confusion sets in,
Love is not enough anymore,
Not enough to kill the deceit.
And I want to touch you as if your skin was the last,
Kiss you as if my lips would not be safe on another set,
Love you as if my every breath meant another for you.

Yet I can't do these things I long for,
I'm taunted by memories-
Past demons who will no longer rest,
Demons, who will, tear my sanity from my head
Breathe fire into my lungs,
Strip my body of its skin from the poison they leave behind.

It will not rest these worries of mine,
Constantly they whisper thoughts I will not think,
They tell me of things I wish not to hear-
But I do-
I hear it louder than I ever wanted to,
Louder than any ear can take.

Take my life from me, take it and run,
For the peace I seek cannot be found in life,
Take her skin and touch it as if it were your last,
Kiss her lips as if yours would not be safe on another set,
Love her as if your every breath meant another for her.
After all it's what YOU want!

I love this poem because it has so much emotions... I might be wrong but I assume when you love someone...you give all your heart to him... Put yourself complitely in the game...

What fascinates and pleases me is how you describe

Take my life from me, take it and run,
For the peace I seek cannot be found in life,
Take her skin and touch it as if it were your last,
Kiss her lips as if yours would not be safe on another set,
Love her as if your every breath meant another for her.
After all it's what YOU want!

So much passion. I really wish someone would love me one day the way you describe.
