The Beast

by A Fallen Dancer   May 26, 2008

Deep down inside
The crevices of my heart,
Lies the beast,
Within me.
I don't know what it is,
Or how to subdue it.
But I don't know,
That it lies within.
The fire,
It burns,
But I shall no longer weep,
For what it is.
Abandoning my mind,
And shedding my life,
Growing a new soul,
And feeding the beast.
Overriding the pain,
The beast jumps through,
Releasing a tempest,
Of anger.
Don't just stare,
For I know that you
Won't like the beast,
No matter how it stands.
So now I bid farewell,
To the destruction of the past,
And deliver to you,
The beast that lies within.
