Free Fall

by Jacqueline Fuhs   May 31, 2008

There's nothing to hold on to.
I'm falling down so fast.
This feeling of a free fall,
I know that it won't last.
Staring at the ground before me,
Closer it will get.
All these things you've done to me,
You think I will forget.
Slowly I wait for my fate,
Yet time seems to freeze.
As I'm falling off this cliff,
I feel a lonely breeze.
Alone I've lived this short life,
And alone I'll die.
Before I jumped I thought of you,
All I could do was cry.
As i hit the ground I think,
After my forever lingered fall,
It's better to have loved then lost,
Than to have never loved at all.
