Dark corners

Dark corners
Where people get robbed and slain
Dark corners
Where the hustlers' game is played

When it's bright outside
We see nothing but concrete and stone
Paving our way
Twists and turns, around the bend
We go into
The corners
Where at night
Young women are losing
Their self worth
Picking up all kinds of shit
Men appeasing Gods work

Dark corners
They lay under a box
LabeLabeledhome
Buried under all those
Layers of blankets and dirty clothes

Nobody stops to ask
Why?
Maybe there is a reason
To the poor girls cry
Left in the corner with her pants torn off
Tears falling
To ashamed to lift her
Head up high
Raped, no reason
Just the question
Why?

Her heart is bleeding
And his mother is dreaming
Lost all faith, there is no believing
Of a better life
All these dark corners
Bring so much fear, wish they could all disappear

To everyone it's a different story
Same old....
In life we get trapped
In corners we wish where never there
Dark corners
I'm waiting for the light to reappear

I can't see my way out
I turn one corner to find
Im out here struggling to survive
Then I turn the next
And yet again
I find that there is no peace of mind
I look up in the sky
To see all the gray clouds
Pass me by
In my mind I wonder
When would the morning ever come?
But then I stop to pounder
When night comes back around
Would I be trapped in
Those same old
Dark corners?
