Devil among Innocence

[Prelude] I can no longer hide what you are!!!!!!

For years on end,
I've been placed amongst the innocent,
relaxed and cool b/c my soul gives off an
aura of indulgence;
merciful as the people find pleasure amongst
my well-being.
Kind to their souls,
to some, I give life,
not to rebirth but to expand perspective
on life, themselves, and love!
As they gain comfort, I bleed poison
as the life of my own is unknown to myself,
causing mayhem as their position of comfort
is betrayed by my warmth presence.
As the people cry in confusion, I disown them,
discontinuing any hope
for my life is selfish and blind to
the acquaintance of progression!
Day after day, the ritual gets old
for life doesn't deserve torture from
a pointless cause!!
The lights start to fade and darkness draws closer
for I can no longer lead the impression
my life tends to perceive.
So as I rise,
I can no longer deny
that the innocence that I hold within
is a devil in disguise!!!!
