Too Young

by Anastasia Glass   Jun 2, 2008

They say we're too young
To understand
The life that we're leaving
We shouldn't take a stand

For instance:
she likes a boy who's 21
But she's sixteen
What age difference
When it's 5 years in between?

She 30
He's 35
What's the difference in their lives?

We're too young
that's what they always say
Too young to experience life
OUR way

Too young to know love
Too young to love life
Too young to know wrong
From right
But they just judge
They don't really see
How responsible
We can really be

She takes care of 6 kids
and their not her own
but she loves them enough
She gives them a home
she's only 18
Just finished school
Gave up all her dreams
To help them make it
Through

don't tell us we're too young
To understand
The life that we live
It has demand

Don't tell us we're too young
Because you didn't like it either
Don't tell us we're too young
Because you shouldn't be quick to judge
What you once were
.
.
.
Too young
