Be Happy

by Miyako   Jun 5, 2008

You asked me if i was OK;
and i said i was fine.
But behind my back
was the crossed-finger sign.

I knew i looked out of sorts
and that i was quiet, too much so.
I was alone,
and cold.

You have enough on your mind.
I don't want to add my problems to you.
I'm hurting inside
and i don't want you to.

It hurts too much
to see you with her.
I know you're just friends,
but to me, your too dear.

I want you to be happy,
so i won't express my feelings.
But just so you know,
inside I'm crying.

But don't worry,
don't speak.
Look for the answer
in your heart deep.

Do you love me,
or do you not?
Cause i don't want you
when your heart ain't hot.

Now answer me truthfully.
No lies please.
Or I'd leave
with rolled-up sleeves.

I want you to be happy,
so i won't express my feelings.
But just so you know
inside I'm crying,
