Strawberry Kisses (Ode)

by Ashleigh Skye   Jun 6, 2008

When winter has me in its clutches,
I smile and think of you,
the gentle kiss of sunlight,
always pulls me through.

The heat embraces my body,
as the smile shines on my face,
always thinking of that time we shared,
that nothing will ever replace.

The sweet taste of strawberries,
and the grass stains on my clothes,
help keep my body warm,
every time it snows.

And when winter has be in it's clutches,
I will be prepared,
armed with a smile and memories,
of that summer that we shared.
