Killed Once and Forever

by Bettina   Jun 6, 2008

A tear shed no words said
he walks away I scream at him "stay"
everything happens so fast, everywhere around dust
from my life's shelter that has now collapsed.

Red lipstick thrust upon a white shirt
a wild rose laying on a pile of dirt
a heart broken, pieces here and there
his first words: "love me if you dare".

A challenge, an advice, a warning and a threat
I ended up being his pet, yet
his love more than little, less than enough
he took away my joy, he took away my laugh.

A wide open door in an empty house
the cat ended up being chased by the mouse
tears, memories and pain all blend together
as he kills me now, once and forever.
