My drug of choice

by The promise and the threat xoxo   Jun 7, 2008

I've come to realize she's just like a drug. She is my drug of choice. Just as addictive just as strong just as powerful. She looks you in the eyes and your mesmerized, speechless; she's got you now. She gazes right into your soul, straight into your heart, she's captured you now. She gives you a dose and you feel on top of the world. You feel your heart pounding and smiling over and over. You never want it to stop; you just want it to never go away. You feel so overwhelmed with her high; you feel it rushing through your veins like a surge. You swear at times your heart could just emerge right out of your chest.
She'll make you crave her. You're addicted; you're just like an addict now. You'll want more and more, it'll torture your soul. She'll make you suffer just like a drug. She'll get you on cloud nine and feeling just fine only to tear it right back down again. You'll start to feel weak and powerless; maybe even a little undeserving. You'll find yourself holding a pillow and crying asking yourself why. She'll give you nightmares forcing you to wake up in a panic, drenched in sweat and painting. She'll change your life making you think twice. You'll be begging her to look into your eyes. Only her kiss of death can save you now. Still no matter what you can never get enough. No high will ever stay long enough; you always want to be wrapped up in her. You'll always go back for more and more; She'll eat you alive.
