A pretty face.

A pretty face she had,
got wrecked almost everynight.
Before her father called her down,
she'd pray and hold her teddy tight.
With a smile on her face at school,
knowing she has to hold back the tears.
Hiding scars to let no one know,
that everyday and night it's her dad she fears.
As days go on with endless hurt,
no one knows whats really going on.
Her dad drunk built with hate for her,
she feels her life wont be to long.
The pain of the kicks, slaps, and falls,
the hurt no one realizes that frames her eyes.
Leads to her dad not knowing at all,
that the one he hurt was about to die.
A pretty faced five year old,
did not appear at school one day.
For her dad had risked it all the night before,
and had her body put, with no guilt, to lay.
