Gentle Mother

by Flerry   Jun 8, 2008

In your eyes, I see the prints of maternal tears
In your arms, I've witnessed the strength that fights away our fears.
In your hair, I see the length of your unceasing greatness.
In your hands, I see no violence but a gentle and loving caress.

Never have felt violence in your hands,
Never been shouted, never been hurt.
Your gentleness seems like music in heaven,
That heals the pain of my crying heart.

Unconditional is how I defined your love.
Your ugly hands can create beautiful and splendid things.
Your heart was tested with experience and pain.
Yet its beauty and calmness remain.

Your words are the framework of my plans and dreams.
Your past is my strength when everything seems austere.
Oh, love of my life, my mother my truly dear,
To you I say, You are my star, my sparkling gem.
