Stay As You Are

by brie kelly wise   Jun 9, 2008

Please stay as you are
Honestly, that never happens anymore
Don't do this when we made it so far
I want this to count, I want this to scar
I don't want to find you dead under the stars

Everyone gets older, but we will always stay
Everyone gets quiet, as we all grow older
But we will always stay as long as we pray

Time can be deceiving
But honestly, we'll never be leaving
I'm tired of hearing
That love is age and so is believing
I don't want to find you dead by the evening

We will all get just a little bit older, but we'll always stay
And we will grow quiet as we grow a little bit older
But we will always pray that we will always stay
Love isn't age, but love is believing
I want this to scar, I want you to hear me
That you will stay as you are
And time will go far
I don't want you to find dead in the dark
But we will always pray
