Raining Love

by Jes Miller   Jun 11, 2008

They walked home together hand in hand,
The blue in the sky fading to grey,
The fluffy white clouds beginning to darken,
Every step they took,
The rain began to fall faster.

They reached the house,
By now,
They were dripping wet,
He puts his hand out towards the doorknob,
But she grabs his hand.

She steps closer to him,
And he wraps his arms around her waist,
As a smile grows across his face,
They stare into each others eyes,
And draw their lips closer,
Sharing a passionate kiss,
Ignoring the rain falling from the endless grey skies above,

Her heart beat was pounding faster and faster in her chest,
Her knees feeling like the water flowing down the hill,
He pulls away from the kiss,
Showing his breath taking smile,
He whispers in her ear lets finish this inside.

They lie beside each other,
Feeling the heat escaping from their skin,
Waiting for their hearts to beat to a normal pace,
They kiss once again,
And whisper I love you in unison.

They walked home together hand in hand,
The blue in the sky fading to grey,
The fluffy white clouds beginning to darken,
Every step they took,
The rain began to fall faster,
Falling in deeper,
Into the love they share.
