Ocean Life

by Johnathan   Jun 12, 2008

The oceans surface is lifeless to the eye,
but beneath in the darkness currents pull awry.

Stirring the sands to an all new high,
bestowing them wings so that they may fly.

Gasping and reaching the sun so high,
faster and faster the sands go by.

Hoping and wishing to receive the day,
they taste the sun with each sweet ray.

Only to arrive and meet a lie,
the truth so real they flutter and die.

Wings a sunder they burst to flames,
a story so sad it has no name.

Slowly falling with none to blame,
but to life less eyes its all the same.
