The perfect beginning

by maria   Jun 12, 2008

Ding!
screams and cheers sound around the halls
that was the 3 o'clock bell
school is out for the summer
and your now technically an 8th grader..

every where you turn you see people
saying goodbye and lots of tears
many signing year books or talking about what to do that summer

you have to trickle out of the river of kids
trying to be first on the bus
after garbing the last of your things
for the last time this year
you close the locker for the last time
thinking of memories you created by this locker

as you leave the school you think back on the year
and wonder if you'll ever be the same
your best friends walk up beside you
and together you walk out of school
wondering what will happen this summer
for you to share with you friends next to you next year

a perfect beginning to a wonderful summer
