"I don't want to get serious...."
Is that the answer I get?
Tragedy's befallen you,
But don't act like you don't care.

I think I almost loved you.
And every butterfly I cherished,
Haunting and familiar.
Oh, how I loved that feeling...

"Kiss me" you asked,
I finally went through.
Perfection.
I grew anxious every day.

I think I almost loved you.
And the way you kissed me like you meant it.
Your lips on mine,
Now I'm some pathetic poetic tragedy.

I had big plans today.
But this was the one thing...
The one you couldn't follow through with.
"I don't want to do this, but..."

I think I almost loved you.

    girl please. you are not a tragedy, or pathetic for that matter. this was a good poem nice job, lovely flow and emotion behind it.

    Wow. excellent poem. I loved the repition, without it I think the poem would be boring, but it definately spiced it up! the last stanza was excellent. The whole poem was great! Keep it up! 5/5
