Here I Am

by MissG   Jun 12, 2008

So much changes, yet so much has stayed the same
I walk through the campus to be taken aback
A time of childish innocence is where I now am
The smell of the fresh cut grass, the site of the building where it all began-
My legs shake and my stomach aches,
I am nostalgic for the past.
It’s strange how a building can bring back memories of so much pain
The stairs, the sliding glass doors, the computer lab-the familiarity causes my heart to jump.
There he is in all his glory,
And here I am in all my misery.
Does he understand, does he truly know?
How can your best friend nearly become your foe?
Much has remained the same- but nearly even more has changed.
