A Melancholy Occasion

by Jordan   Jun 13, 2008

Crippled and cramped with everything to say, you're here again.
It's been so long beloved; tell me, where have you been?
I remember your heart being pulverized, or wait is it still?
Have you not enough damage? Or are you looking for more?

I remember the cries you mourned and the life you led, how sad.
Your heart was, or still may be an ailment. Good.
Don't we learn from our mistakes? I learned from mine.
I can't give anymore; it's just too much to give for, well, nothing.

You thought you were buoyant, but now we see you were wrong.
Oh, how you were wrong. You're not so omniscient now are you?
That's right, because you didn't know me. You knew nothing.
For once, I was right and oh the joy that came within.

Can you still apprehend, or should I prolong? I'm a strong-hold.
What a melancholy occasion this must be for you, a mirthful occasion for me.
Push me away again, I dare you. Two can play this game.
And, well; this time, we'll leave the winner up to you.
