The Play

Act one

The meeting

I see your glare,
Your smile bright,
The way you touch sends my heart a flight,
I fall for you,
You fall for me,
This is everything we dreamed it would be,
After all this time of un-clarity,
Last time you left without a reason,
But now we've entered into a new season,
You and I,
We're meant to be,
I love the way you look at me.

Act two

The demeaning

It's barely been a week I'd say,
Your eyes on her bring me dismay,
You seem to like a pretty face,
You said you loved me,
This doesn't feel like the case,
My heart is chipping,
I feel it drop,
A glance that "means nothing" hurts,
I don't trust a lot,
But somehow you broke down that wall,
But in cause of this,
Now stands a tower tall.

Act three

The aftermath

This bickering is pointless,
These lies becoming your uncertain truth,
You're showing your true colours,
I think its time we called a truce,
You say you don't want to lose me,
And yet you're treating me this way,
You lie, cheat and abuse me,
But still a part of me wants you to stay,
I hate all this confusion
This relationship fast is becoming my life's intrusion.

Act four

The end

A single day has passed,
You're telling me she's stolen your heart,
Time seems like such a waste,
Dwelling upon your disgrace,
It was hard to trust yet I wanted to believe,
But over and over you managed to deceive,
Forever knowing the outcome,
Distance destroyed us this time.
