Only one more day til it happens.
One more day, that's it!
Long has this day been on my mind.
Oh how long I've dreamed of this.
As I eat from my plate,
Family all around me,
My parents eye me now and then,
Wondering if I can handle this responsibility.
Dinner ends and a family meeting takes place.
We talk about what has happened
They secretly wonder if I'll be ok.
They're worried, I know.
I can see it in their eyes.
They weren't as worried when Judd went away.
I guess its because daddy's little girl is leaving.
So when I take off tomorrow,
I'll have to let them know,
As soon as I have kids,
The same values in I learned from them,
In my own children I will bestow.
So mom and dad, don't worry!
I'll promiseto do my best.
And hopefully everything I do from here on out,
Will make you the proudest parents yet.
