Soul Mates

If we could pick an adjective to describe our self, what would it be?

Pretty, skinny, depressed or angry

But I couldn't pick mine because I don't know

Some days I'm happy, but other I'm low

Anxiety, death, worries, and fears

Hurt, tiredness, and stress from my peers

Love me for my mind and soul

Not my jokes and dares

And if you could see into my soul, would you even care?

Could you understand my confusion, that comes from an unknown source?

Or would you just laugh and make it even worse?

Would you consider me weird if a deep secret I had came forth?

Or would you admire my acuteness and value its worth?

Could you understand that you're wondering why the person I am doesn't show?

It's because the truth is I myself doesn't even know

And if you understand this, we would form a bond

And we should both believe that what we have is strong

Because this has brought us together by far called fate

You're not only my true friend, you're my everlasting soul mate
