I don't know how to say it
And I bet that you don't know
With ever conversation
My feelings for you grow

It started with a look
A simple passing glance
Now I find I think about you
And wish I had a chance

I wish that things were different
I wish you were just a friend
Hopefully its just a crush
So that my heart can mend

I didn't know how to tell you
So I wrote my feelings down
Nor could I speak it
For my voice won't hold its ground

I just had to get it out
I couldn't keep it locked inside
Too often do I close myself
In poems, my fears can hide

I will not write your name
You know who you are
Even in this chilling darkness
You are my shining star
