Screwing Up

In the beginning, we were together,
i promised we'd stay that way forever and ever.

then i screwed up, and we split apart,
but i knew we'd be together again from the start.

you gave me another chance to prove myself true,
but i screwed up again, bringing pain to you.

i was letting you suffer, which was making me suffer too,
but all the while, i truly loved you.

now my mistakes are bringing us to an end,
and i hope someday soon, we'll be together again.
