Story of an abandoned girl

by anissa   Jun 20, 2008

Once a pon a time
there lived a girl
alot like me
alone
abused
abandoned on the streets
she walks in city
her head low
tears building up
she pushes the urge aside
her clothes r battered and torn
her hair black knotty and unclean
she sits at the corner of a street near the corner store
she hold out an old cut she found
"please, i need some help i want to go home"
she earned five cents but no more then that
she gets shooed away from the store manager
"go home and stop ruining business"
she puts her head down and starts to cry
she whispers
"i wish i had a home to go to"
and slowly walks away
her heart broken
her life destroyed
no where to turn no where to go
all she has is the dream she had
many months ago
that one day she will be saved
carried away from all the pain
all the people who just pushed her away
that night she found a dark alley way
one that could do for the night
one that she can cry her self to sleep
without anyone telling her to shut up
she lays her head down
a pon a damp old rock
closes her eyes with the tears
gently rolling down her sweet dirty face
whispering as she drifts off into her sleep of pain
"I'm sorry lord for everything, for not being pretty or bright I'm sorry for the way i am, i hate it as much as anyone..." her words blurry out as she falls asleep
the tears still gently rolling down her cheeks
that night she died
a gun shot to the head
from a group of men near by
just think of that girl
when you push someone away
is anyone really not good enough that they really have to die?
be pushed out onto the streets by the people who where supposed to love them?
a story of a girl so scared and alone died because she was hated...
