Summer Tears

by Miyako   Jun 21, 2008

Walking down the beach,
watching the waves crash.
A tear trickles down,
as across my eyes an image flash.

That last summer,
same beach, same scenery.
You were there then,
but now there's only me.

Walking down the beach,
watching the waves crash.
Our love was strong,
through obstacles we dash.

But after that summer,
you left me for her.
Looking out to the ocean,
In joined my tear.

Walking down the beach,
watching the waves crash.
My heart change,
burned to ash.

I'll spend my summer alone,
for once, without you.
Like how the sea spray feels,
toward you, I'm cool.

Walking down the beach,
watching the waves crash.
Waiting for my heart to heal,
from its deep bleeding gash.
