I was blind when you left,
I didn't see the blows to your heart,
I only saw my rage and
the red in my eyes.
I should've been smarter
then that to leave you behind.
But people make mistakes.
No one is perfect, right?
And this is not to get you back,
this is not to change your mind,
but this is just to apologize for
everything I have done.
To apologize for your pain,
for the gray days when I
should've been around to save from,
I should've been around to brighten,
to change for the better not the worse.
So this is my apology,
my hasty plea for forgiveness.
And I wouldn't blame you for
turning away, but it would be better then
the demons of guilt that I face everyday.
