I See You In The Distance( And I Look Away)

I see you in the distance, and I look away...
Finally able to let go, and move forward threw the day...

Use to be that I couldn't even talk...
Without mentioning your name or painting your face in my thoughts...

Even when I forgot about you, I was quickly reminded...
If not by a song than the simple things done out of kindness

You've always had a kind heart up until you broke mine
...I still wonder how you said you loved me, yet cheated so many times

You always said those three words, which now I know...
Were meaningless, but all the same made it hard to let go

For there was still that emotion lingering on...
Keeping you in my heart...but...maybe that's why it was broken so long

It took me awhile to see threw all your lies...
When you're blinded by love, it makes it much harder to realize

Now finally free from the agony and depression of your ways
I can watch you fade off in the distance, than move forward with the days
