Lake

by The Nameless Poet   Jul 17, 2013

It's late at night, and I'm asleep
and She's the topic of my dreams

Were standing in the sand by the lake
Hand in hand, face to face

Her eyes contain something different
Not like them other girls, so conflicted

Her lips felt like they weren't just a dream
but the night is cruel, so we'll reconvene...

now the sun is shining on my face
it's 6AM, I'm wide awake

the dream is gone, all in my head
it's Just me alone in my bed

Why'd she have to come along,
Just when I was doing so good without her

It's to late, I've fallen strong,
Now I can't see myself without her

All I think about is the connection that I felt
But she's out of reach, living somewhere else

yet & still, I know this is where it all begins
But as long as she's away it creates a pain within

but To many times I've let love slip away
Oh not this time, I'm willing to wait

I know I won't find another women this great
she's One of a kind, so she's worth the wait

Now it's late at night, but I'm not asleep
she's in boxing me, convos gettin deep

So far away, it isn't fare
I just wanna run my fingers threw her hair

while I Kiss her lips as the world is still
she replies with "meet me at the lake, and tonight you will"
