Strychen

by Tylr   Jun 25, 2008

In the bleak and dark december air
Walks a maiden I remember, fair
The echoes of embers burnt to bare.
Shine light upon my vain despair
And as my eyes seek to close
My memories seek repose
But endlessly the thoughts would show
Thoughts I sought to keep below
While still I creep across the damp boarded floor
A chill creeps through worn bones once more
In the cold white light, the angel I adore
The angel of my slumber, that's by my side no more
Behind these eyes lie cold dark dreams
Each time I die, once more redeemed
My soul is torn, apart at the seams
The dark reborn, the light that gleams
But alas upon the killing floor
This heart-broke warrior lives no more
Armour ripped and torn to shreds
Body stripped and left for dead
