Every Sixth Day:

by Linda Kennedy   Jun 27, 2008

I awake earlier than most in anticipation
To sit in a classroom for three hours

This exposure that opens the creative mind
Is more than being subject to English literature

To be able to verbalize openly a thought, an opinion
Yes, to expose my inner thoughts

No one knows where the mind has been
Or what it is capable of, it is of those who express eagerness to listen
Or become fascinated with a drawn conclusion that I give thanks

A professor whom surpasses knowledge beyond the scope of English literature
Laughter fills the room in joyous collaboration
Her willingness to share
Maybe without full recognition
Her joys and her own experiences

Yes, every sixth day was an opportunity and a gift

Dedicated to my professor: 2003

I thank you so much for your "honesty"..I am one who rights from heart as well as uninspired feelings..you know, off the cuff.
I appreciate your taking the time to read.
