Come Home

by Lyrical Lies   Jun 29, 2008

There's a man somewhere out there who used to have a daughter
He didn't want a kid so he got up and left her
Left her all alone crying in the night
Wishing she could go back and make everything alright
Cause mommy's always sad now and sister is depressed
Her friends at school don't get it why she's always stressed
Mommy told her teachers now they treat her really nice
She doesn't understand why her heart is turned to ice
She grew up without a father now she's in grade nine
She wants to find her daddy but she's running out of time
Sister left for college and mom is tired from work
The young girl's grades are slipping; she's blinded by the hurt
Someday she will find him she can feel it in her heart
He'll come home and save her from this never ending dark
But for now she's lost and broken she's bleeding on the floor
"Daddy why'd you leave me? Don't you love me anymore?"
