I met my fear

by Tammi   Jul 1, 2008

In the shadows I breathed restless
Nothing but cold gust whispers in my ear
I was lost in a forbidden land
I saw a big dark steady lake
I looked at the surface, I saw my face, and I saw my fear
I stared but my eyes were barely clear

I heard a voice calling my name
From the water it truly came
Asking my nearness in a chilling tone.
"Near u come before the dawn"

My legs were shaking yet there I stood, at the last bit of the land
The wind was blowing against my back; I felt my body slowly sank

Frosty flow is steeling my breath, feeding its greedy darkness myth
I felt my soul leaving my body, my heartbeats faded slowly
I opened my eyes into sunset sight, I breathed as I glimpsed the light
I saw the sun I always hated, lying in my bed, happy that I made it
Now am aware of my mistake, the days I wasted living with fear and ach
The truth whisper is out and clear, now am free with no more fear
