I'm Afraid

I love you so much,
Even more than before,
Though just the other day,
I had given up for sure.

I hadn't seen you in so long,
Hadn't talked to you forever,
Now you waltz back in my life,
Thinking you're so clever.

I try to resist,
Falling over you again,
But when we talk I find I've already lost,
I'm stuck now more than then.

But I love it how we click,
Like no time has gone by,
Now we talk and joke about stupid stuff,
How time with you does fly.

Then I find myself wondering,
Though I love being your friend,
If that's all we'll ever be,
Even though my love for you won't end.

The truth is: I'm afraid,
To tell you all of this,
How I can't stop thinking of you,
How time spent with you is bliss.

I don't know how you feel,
And that's what's stopping me,
My hearts convinced you like me,
But my brain tends to disagree.

Just give me a hint,
Or show me some sign,
Just say the word,
A clue of any kind.

But even if you hate me,
Though I hope that that's not true,
Just remember that I will always keep,
This love I have for you.
