The test

by jack   Jul 2, 2008

The test is not time,
or any other well thought out plan
it is merely that to live without fear
to stand up and be counted

Through shame we cower behind closed doors
curl up to the insignificant bean of thought that we laugh at in others

adjacent to our world, options are laid out
the choice of success is burning quietly inside us awaiting fuel. A greater ignition.

Our dreams built up through other concentrations
change develops, change happens
immortal to the thought of happiness
we spend our lives dreaming of a brighter tomorrow
in the haste of our shy, hazy pictures of perfection
we are always let down.

The serge now taking a turn
the dream turns into a sleepwalk
mindless wonder, with no outcome
the test is not time,
it is what we do with our lives in that space
