(This poem was written in memory to all those who were killed in the Holocaust)
In the annex we secretly wait
Wait for dooms day in sight to be free
Never knowing the silence we kept
The secrecy upheld must always be
Unknown by the world we want to be free
Unknown by the world the wealth once upheld
The wealth of money, and knowledge, and power
And now we see so frequently
That the power once had was once so sad
The family ruined unable to spread
To spread the wings to feel the cool air
To see in the sky a cloud
To see in the night a star
The girl of unwitnessed feelings
Forever to dread her fate
To die in a camp after her sister is dead
To feel free and unweathered
To welcome deaths cold grip
To finally, finally be free
In this world cruel to be
