A moment of Perfection

by silent turbulence   Jul 3, 2008

It had been a while since I felt that way,
The way I did when you held
me in your arms that day,
Everything around seemed to freeze,
The chaos, the confusion, everything seized,
A chill ran down my spine,
As your lips met mine...
A moment so perfect,
I wanted to stop time,
You held me even tighter,
and ran your fingers through my hair,
Was it right, or was it wrong,
Honestly, I dint even care,
I dint know what was about to start,
But one thing was for sure,
You had taken away my heart,
You let me lose and looked into my eyes,
I thought you were to say it,
And for me it would be no surprise,
Everyone thought we were meant to be,
But you said it couldnt be so,
I shut my eyes and fought with the thought,
The thought of letting you go,
I rest my head on your shoulder,
Into your arms i curled,
I guess I'm always gonna be the friend,
Never gonna be the girl!
