Underneath My Halo

by Anna M   Jul 4, 2008

I probably should be sad,
in fact, I ought to be crying,
but to me, theres no sight more happy and sweet than the sight of your cold heart dying.

Oh, how, long ago, we were our own little thing,
and everything was just too great.
Things went alone fine, as if you were still mine, and it should've lingered, oh, too late!

I tried so hard to keep what we've had for years, but honestly, I can't go anymore. You're crazy, you scare me, you have such attitude, and all you've wanted is war.

Why exactly you wanted war, such a cold war, is completely beyond my vision. Maybe it was the gleam in my eyes, the fakeness in my frown, when you told me about your nasty decision.

Well I hope that's what you prayed for, sweetie, because war is exactly what you got. I used to be such a cute sweetheart, but underneath my halo is a shot.

So goodbye, old friend, lets the laughs die, and I hope you eventually find your way. But hey, in the meantime, I'll be laughing and smiling at the sight of you crying today.
