Broken Promises

You once looked my in the eye and promised me you would never hurt me.
You once held me in your arms and promised me your protection.
You once held my hand and promised me you would never let go.

You once promised me you would keep your promises.

Funny how things turn out.
You broke every single promise you made to me.

You broke my heart...
You left me alone in the dark...
You let me go...

You forgot to keep your promises.

    Sad reality that is so unfair. i really liked the line: "You once promised me you would keep your promises" its kind of an in your face but rightfully so. maybe give the person this poem i dont know your situation though. very sincere feelings 5/5

    This poem is very true. some ppl can never keep their promises to to others, and it really hurts, ive been there also. but you did a wonderful job on this, keep up the nice work.
