Lizzie

by Sarah Dawn   Jul 5, 2008

Why'd You have to take her
She was innocent
Far too young
Why not me
I deserve it
More than her
Keep her safe
Tell her I love her
I know its your call
But if you don't mind
I'd like to be with her
If you'd only take me
So she wouldn't be alone
Lizzie, If you can hear me
I love you baby
We all miss you
I'm sorry
I couldn't save you
Know I tried
I tried like hell
Your mom and dad
They send their love
But just between
You and me
I love you more
Know that girl
Uncle Dave loves you more

**This poem is dedicated to Lizzie, and her uncle Dave. Lizzie died when she was 10 years old of a severe asthma attack. My prayers are with Dave and his family.**
