If you can hear me

by Sarah Dawn   Jul 6, 2008

Why'd you have to take her
She was innocent
Far too young
Why not me
I deserve it more than her
Keep her safe, God
Tell her I love her
I know its your call
But if you don't mind
I'd like to be with her
If you'd only take me too
She is far too young
To be there alone

Lizzie, if you can hear me
I love you baby
Your family,
We all miss you
Your mom and dad,
They send their love
I'm sorry baby
Sorry I couldn't save you
I tried baby girl
I tried like hell
I love you, baby girl
Just remember that
Just between
You and me
I love you more
Uncle Dave loves you more

**This poem is dedicated to Lizzie and her uncle Dave. Lizzie died of a severe asthma attack when she was 10. My prayers go out to Lizzie, Dave, and their family.**
