Two sided

by Neme juste un jouet   Jul 6, 2008

Pinned to a piece of paper
outstretched beneath my searching fingers.
I grasp the flat surface of your person
and drag you close to my face as I possibly can.
I want to study your story, see what makes you work
and see how long you can stand the flame
of the candle in my hand.
If I burn the edges,
will you feel more confined?
If i crumple up the page
would you feel worn and weak?
if i tear you from your book and fold you up
placing you in my pocket,
would you perhaps be lost and hopeless?
You are pinned to your two sided reality,
can i tear you free?
I could show you a place never seen before
and i can give you paper wings
that tear free from your bindings
and set you against the sky!
Just so long as you become pinned beneath my fingers...
at least for a little while.
