Intellectually Melodious

by Crossover   Jul 8, 2008

He spoke purposefully as he glanced at his outline
the speaker's words were softly spoken, melodious and fine.
The topic he developed meant nothing to my ears
but his luxurious words amused me circling the air.
Being so young I thought he wrote the dictionary
as he fluently spoke something about becoming a visionary

My ears glued to every word as if he was revealing a cure
focusing more on his words than the message he bore.
Every letter in his words he pronounced with intent
smoothly sliding off his tongue to the ears I lent

"Excuse me mister," My squeaky voice fired
"Where did you learn to pronounce words like that?" I inquired
"I struggle to do the same, will I ever get it?"
He told me, "yes. Here is the secret,
"practice starting immediately and in just a few years
your speech will be a melodious to the ears."
