Untitled

She sits up on her bed, with a pencil in hand
thoughts racing thru mind; thoughts she cant stand
as each minute passes by, she stares at the clock
her surroundings are quiet, but can still hear "tick-tock"
its early in the morning, but also late in the night
the stars are still out; its dark from left to right
out of nowhere, she notices a teardrop falls
right after she checks and still sees no call
she waits a few minutes, then checks again
but theres not even a text from her boyfriend
cuz they havent talked in weeks, she assumes the worst
for she doesnt know much, this guy is her first
thinking its over, she quietly picks up a blade
she slashes her wrist; hoping her memories will fade
by this time, her mind is ready to explode
she lies down and continues a silent mode
right then, her phone starts to buzz on the floor
but she just lies on her bed, parallel to the door
on her phone was the voicemail she needed all along
it said "sorry i havent called you. there is nothing wrong,
its just my phone was turned off. and there was no way
i could call you, so ill call you again later today."
