Memories in Amsterdam

by Goodbye   Jul 9, 2008

Two shadows moving on the ground
a mother is holding her daughter's hand
A little breeze is moving the leaves of oak
two white doves are flying in sky.

Mother and daughter walk a couple of blocks
Display windows are fascinating
The girl sees a boy's reflection
on the surface on shiny glass..

"His smile could make
one hundred butterflies
fly at the same time" she thinks..

Her heart melts like the ice cream
in hot summer day in July
the boy is smiling to her..

Her mother continues walking
but she keeps staring the boy behind
until they cross the street
and his figure disappear behind a truck

They keep walking to downtown
the girl stops looking over her shoulder for him
One unforgettable moment just passed
but the excitement of her heart didn't fade away

Still after fifteen years has passed
she is walking the same street
She stops every time on the display window
to remember his smile

To feel how to old memory
is still able to touch her
Even years have drew
many memories on her heart
