Ready to die,
Heart beats slowing,
Ready to leave,
Finally my pain is showing.

Masks have been thrown aside,
The stupid smile you got to know so well,
Told everyone a fake little tale.

A split second,
A scream splitting the air,
The thoughts of an angel,
That wondered if anyone could ever care.

Scars cover the arms of a girl so tired,
She was loved,
But always felt worthless.

Pills sit on her shelf,
And she wonders why not,
Thinking no one would miss her,
She takes some in her hand.

A knock at the door makes her jump,
And everything freezes in time,
Tears run down her face,
And she leaves to her room.

She sits there with a blade in her hand,
This time its for real,
No pain - no more,
She needs something real.
