Today is a happy day

Today is a happy day,
Life shinning in each and every way.
We walk down the sand,
Hand in hand.
The sky is blue with puffy marshmallow clouds,
I have you, I have your heart; for that I am proud.
We walk farther and farther along,
The birds tweet and twit with their happy song.
The ground is wet with dew,
And the flowers burst in bloom.
Today is a happy day,
And no one, nothing can turn it gray.
I sing and dance,
Walk around and prance.
The trees are covered in a sticky green moss,
Sap covering the trees covering them like sauce.
Today is a happy day,
And I hope it's here to stay.
We laugh and talk,
While we look and walk.
The sun is shining bright in all its glory,
The rays of the sun telling its story.
We laugh at each other, arm in arm,
You captivate me with your every charm.
Today is a happy day,
And hopefully it won't go, but all I can do is pray.
