Realtors Are Those Who Try To Block Out Reality

by Lousy Eyes   Jul 10, 2008

Doorbell chimes and smiles and handshakes
Smiles that belong to nobody but fakes
Wanting nothing more but a good story
and a chance at a pocket full of money

Can't you see you're not really wanted
That your help isn't even really offered
Label it with a good sign
and make an offer too good to decline

Painful moans and groans of misery
Coming from a child who refuses to leave
Painful moans and groans heard only in the dark
Not in the open where fires could start.

A fire would not be so bad
Getting rid of the object at hand.
But the child who refues to leave would have to anyway
And that's just not the way to waste a day.
