The hard way

Its always the hard way
when i learn a lesson
no matter if its a small thing
or a full blown obsession

My mother says that I'm a liar
that i disobey too much
every time i make her cry
my heart continues to crush

I finally realized she was right
i guess our last fight
made me find my control
it slipped form my sight

I used to be an angel
that sang a heavenly song
then i turned into a rebel
that did everything wrong

I'm slowly going back
to my angelic days
i guess the only way
truly is the hard way
