Slipping away/ part I

by Can Love Last   Jul 11, 2008

Tears fall into
the already deep
river of endless pain
on the floor she sees
the velvet burgundy
stain
she cries out to be
helped but no one s
seems to hear
she then realizes as she's
slowly slipping away
that this was always
her worst fear
she was standing on
the edge waiting to let go
when all of a sudden her
pain started to slow
if she was dreaming
she never wanted to wake
her one true love was giving
his life for her living sake
he whispers in her ear
"my love, i will save you,
do not fear"
then she sees this was not
the way she wants it to be
he was the reason she
regretted this life ending catastrophe
she looked into his eyes
and knew thats what she needed
stop this nonsense were the only
words she pleaded
she could not bare to live
with out him
she knew her life
would surly be grim
as his life slowly slipped away
she knew his life was more
important than hers in more
than one way
"if this is the way this has to be
then darling do this one last thing
for me, kiss me like this is our last
one, then kiss me once again...
until there is no more sun!"
she thought to her self she would
surly die of grieving sorrow
she knew once he was gone she
would surly die tomorrow
